The Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild has five classes of permanent membership MEMBER, JURIED MEMBER, SIGNATURE, HONORARY, SUPPORT and PATRON. See more details on each of these classes of membership below.
You may become a member at any time by printing out and mailing in an application form with dues calculated on a prorated scale.

The annual jurying process occurs once a year, normally in March. Persons wishing to apply for juried membership must submit three matted paintings to a jury of five guild members. Juried membership requires that a minimum of 3 out of the 5 jurors approve all three pieces of your work. If you are already a member and do not wish to go through this jurying process, you can still become a juried member by having a painting accepted into a SAWG-designated juried show. At this time, these shows are: SAWG Annual Show, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Annual Show, Arizona Aqueous, Arizona Watercolor Association Spring or Fall Show, and beginning in 2005-06, the Fiesta Sonora Desert Museum Show. If you have any questions, you may contact Lynn McGregor, Membership Chair at brawmac@aol.com.

Honorary Members
Honorary members shall be invited to membership by the President subject to Board approval. These persons have either made an exceptional contribution to SAWG and/or the community in the advancement of watercolor, or be a watercolorist of outstanding talent and recognition. They pay no dues, initiation fee or assessments. Past Presidents of the Guild are automatically invited to become honorary members at the conclusion of their term of office. They are expected to donate 12 hours per year to Guild work or provide other support.
SAWG members: You may have a webpage on this website to show up to 5 images of you and/or your work plus a short bio or artist statement. This is an easy, low-cost marketing tool that allows others (galleries, potential buyers of your work) to see a sampling of your art. One member gallery participant has their work featured on SAWG's home page each month, with a link to their web page. There is a one-time fee of $10 which goes to SAWG to help defray the costs of the website updates.
Check out the Member's Gallery to see what other members are putting on their pages, and if you want to apply, click the link below to find out what to send the web mistress for posting.
